Collaboration across projects makes us stronger!
Just recently, Youth-GEMs study coordinator Bart Rutten was invited to present at the consortium meeting of the Happy Mums project.
Happy Mums is an EU-funded international study that develops and evaluates digital tools and interventions to promote maternal mental health during and after pregnancy. By focusing on prevention, early identification, and timely support, the project addresses the critical window around motherhood, where mental health challenges are common but often under-detected.
This was a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge on early intervention in mental health care from supporting young people to supporting mothers and families. By learning from each other’s research scopes and approaches, we can strengthen our shared mission of making mental health care more accessible, timely, and effective across different populations.
Cross-project collaboration, such as between Youth-GEMs and Happy Mums, highlights the importance of bridging experiences and expertise to build more impactful solutions for mental health.
We thank Annamaria Cattaneo and the Happy Mums consortium for the invitation and warm welcome in beautiful Catania, Italy.
