On 18 February 2025, the European Commission’s Policy Event on Mental Health took place at the beautiful University Foundation in Brussels. Researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders gathered with a shared ambition to improve mental health across Europe and beyond.
Discussions covered key topics such as psychosocial risks in the workplace and strategies to enhance the mental well-being of children and young people. Experts provided updates on relevant research, highlighting challenges and best practices.
Representing Youth-GEMs, Bart Rutten, Covadonga Martinez, and Maria Bulgheroni presented their research on gene-environment interactions in youth mental health trajectories. They look back on a valuable meeting and thank the organizers for their warm welcome.
